I live in Australia, and despite seeing a few rear-facing seats here and there, I can assure you most infant baby car-seats over here face forwards. I have many friends who transport their young children forward-facing (in very secure capsules) and they’re all still alive. I feel this whole thing is a large over-reaction, it’s not about what way the child faces, but more the security of the device the baby is strapped into.
